So what is VOIP & how does it work?
The diagram above shows how everything works in the background. Users can use our USB Phones, IP Desk Phones and IP Routers to make and receive calls over the internet at very cost effective rates. Our servers are all stationed in South Africa, which results in excellent quality calls as well as receiving calls from any other type of phone. At this stage this is the reason why our VoIP solution is superior to the rest.
Voice over Internet Protocol calls work as follow. You can make a call to any destination, which is then routed through your Internet connection. The VoIP data is then sent over the Internet to our server in Bedfordview. From here we have direct connections into the different networks i.e. Telkom, MTN, Vodacom and Cell C.
From our server calls break out onto these networks and is connected to the dialed number. This whole process is very fast and effortless. Connecting to a Telkom number takes on average 2 seconds and to Cellular numbers about 6 seconds. This is half the time a Premicell or Least Cost Router takes to connect

When making a call from one of our IP phones to another, there are no charges involved. Calls between users are absolutely free.
How does it work?
Your voice call is transformed into data packets which is transferred over the Internet to the IP address of the number you dialled. When the data packets reached their destination, it is transformed back in to audible voice.
BestFax user to Telkom (Local & National) users.
making a call from one of our IP phones to a Telkom number you can expect savings of up to 6% on local calls and up to 23% on other Telkom calls.
How does it work?
Your voice call is transformed into data packets which are transferred over the Internet to the IP address of our server in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. Here the data packets are converted back into voice and routed to the dialled number through our SS7 connections directly into Telkom.
BestFax user to Cellular users.
When making a call from one of our IP phones to a Cellular number you can expect savings of up to 35%, depending on the length of the calls.
How does it work?
Your voice call is transformed into data packets which are transferred over the Internet to the IP address of our server in Bedfordview, Johannesburg. Here the data packets are converted back into voice and routed to the dialled number through our SS7 connections directly into the various Cellular Service Providers.
BestFax user to International users.
When making calls to International destinations, savings of up to 93% can be achieved, depending on which countries are called.
How does it work?
Your voice call is transformed into data packets which are transferred over the Internet to the IP address of our servers in UK or USA. Here the data packets are converted back into voice and routed to the dialled number through the Telecoms Service Providers in those countries. These countries have much lower call rates to other countries and that is how you incur the estimated savings.
